Healthy eating

Providing the very best nutrition, activities and wellbeing for your child

At BrightChamps, we provide a nutritious, well-balanced diet for your child, with meals freshly prepared daily by our cook. Our menu rotates every four weeks, ensuring variety, and is tailored for babies who are still weaning, with healthy alternatives if needed.

- Special dietary needs catered for, including lactose intolerance, vegan, and religious diets
- Expressed or formula milk can be brought and given as per your instructions

Information to Parents about Absence, Attendance & Sickness

We would like to provide you with important information regarding absence, attendance, and sickness at our school. It is crucial for parents to be aware of our policies and procedures to ensure the well-being and academic success of our students. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following guidelines:

1. Absence Reporting:

If your child is unable to attend school due to illness or any other reason, please notify the school as soon as possible. This can be done by contacting the school office or using the designated absence reporting system, if available.
It is essential to provide a reason for the absence, along with the expected duration of the absence.
Make sure to submit a written explanation upon your child’s return to school, detailing the reason for the absence.

2. Regular Attendance:

Regular attendance is vital for academic success. We encourage all parents to ensure their children attend school regularly and punctually.
Please schedule appointments and family vacations outside of school hours to minimize disruption to your child’s education.
If your child needs to be absent for an extended period due to unavoidable circumstances, please contact the school administration to discuss appropriate arrangements.

3. Sickness Guidelines:

If your child is unwell, please keep them at home to prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff.
Students should be kept at home until they are fully recovered and no longer contagious.
If your child develops symptoms of a contagious illness, such as a fever, persistent cough, or vomiting, please consult a healthcare professional and inform the school of the situation.

4. · Medical Information:

It is essential to keep the school updated with any relevant medical information regarding your child, such as allergies, chronic conditions, or required medications.
Please ensure that all necessary medical forms are completed and submitted to the school office.

5. Return-to-School Protocol:

When your child is ready to return to school after an absence, please ensure they are in good health and fit to participate in school activities.
If your child has been absent due to a contagious illness, kindly provide the school with a doctor’s note or medical clearance indicating their readiness to return.

School Uniform

School uniforms are an important part of the school environment. You can order your child’s uniform from our online shop or buy it in person at our reception by discussing with our administrator

A typical day at BrightChamps Early Years School includes a combination of group activities, individual work, circle time, outdoor play, snack time, and rest periods.
